Sunday of Orthodoxy Vespers with Archbishop Michael in Perth Amboy

This Sunday is the Sunday of Orthodoxy, the first Sunday of Great Lent and the day the Church commemorates the restoration of icon veneration at the Seventh Ecumenical Council in 787 AD. His Eminence Archbishop Michael is presiding over the annual Pan-Orthodox Vespers in Perth Amboy, and the Cathedral community is encouraged to attend. Orthodox Christians from parishes across the Diocese of New York and New Jersey will be there, carrying their parish icons in procession. It is one of the few occasions each year when the whole diocese prays together in one place. Come and bring your icons.
