Grave Blessings at Graceland and Bayview Cemeteries

On April 26th, Father Solomon traveled to Graceland and Bayview Cemeteries to bless the graves of parishioners who have fallen asleep in the Lord. Cemetery grave blessings are one of the quieter pastoral duties of an Orthodox priest, and one of the more meaningful ones. Standing at a grave and praying for someone by name is a concrete act of the Church's belief that death is not the end of the story.
