Feast of the Protection of the Theotokos (Pokrov)

Vespers for the Feast of Pokrov is Monday evening, September 30th at 6:30 PM. Divine Liturgy is Tuesday morning, October 1st at 8:30 AM. The feast commemorates the 10th-century vision of St. Andrew the Fool-for-Christ, who saw the Virgin Mary spreading her protective veil over the faithful gathered in prayer at the Blachernae Church in Constantinople.
