Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos

The Dormition Fast ends Thursday. Great Vespers is Wednesday evening, August 14th. Divine Liturgy is Thursday morning, August 15th. The feast commemorates the falling asleep of the Virgin Mary and her assumption into heaven. The hymns of this feast are among the most beautiful in the Orthodox calendar. Come to both services if you can.
