The Holy Synod Glorifies Matushka Olga of Alaska

The Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in America has glorified Matushka Olga of Alaska, formally recognizing her as a saint. This is a historic moment for the OCA, and for all of us. Matushka Olga served in Alaska's mission field alongside her husband and is remembered for her humility, her tireless service to the poor, and her steadfast faith in genuinely difficult circumstances. Her icon will be distributed to parishes in the coming weeks. She is now one of our intercessors. Memory eternal, and welcome to the calendar.
