The Cathedral Under Mitered Archpriest Joseph Lickwar: 2021-2022

During 2021 and 2022, Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral was served by Mitered Archpriest Joseph Lickwar, who also carried the responsibilities of Chancellor of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey. Fr. Lickwar brought to the Cathedral decades of experience and steady pastoral care at a moment when the parish needed continuity. The full liturgical calendar was maintained throughout this period, with services celebrated every Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Fr. Lickwar's presence here during this chapter of the Cathedral's life was a gift, and his 60th anniversary of ordination in 2023 is a fitting occasion to mark it.
